Like most parrot enthusiasts, I became
a bird lover at a young age and over the years I’ve observed
that common ingredients like corn, wheat, and sunflower dominate the food, pellets and
treats available for our feathered family.
This observation has driven me to
take great care in selecting ingredients that include a light-grain content and
a blend of fruits and vegetables that could mimic a fresh offering without the
spoilage problems that come with leaving fresh foods out for our pets.
By using fresh fruits and vegetables combined with ancient grains, we aim to create a chewy treat that birds find truly
satisfying. This recipe is not dry and crumbly like most other parrot treats
out there.
The benefit is MORE of the treat is eaten instead of it breaking
into pieces only to end up on the floor.
